‘Best Person to Do This Journey With Me’: Jannik Sinner Opens Up on Relationship with Italian Model Maria Braccini

Italian tennis star Jannik Sinner has opened up about his love life and his quiet engagement to model Maria Braccini.

In an interview with an Italian publication, the current World Number 18 said he and his partner are experiencing the bliss of being together in good times and bad.

Jannik Sinner didn’t see the need to go public about his relationship

When talking about how important it is to keep his personal life away from the prying eyes of the media and the outside world, being a public figure and an athlete, Sinner said it’s a “necessity,” as it helps him stay focused on his goal, which is to become a tennis champion.

“It is a necessity, otherwise you risk losing sight of the goal, which is to try to become a tennis player who continuously obtains high-level results,” the 19-year-old said.

On not going public with his relationship, the Miami Open runner-up said he and Maria are two people who found love, and he saw no reason to share it with everyone.

“Maria and I are two young guys who are now sharing a great experience together and I don’t see why we should let everyone know,” the Italian said.

Sinner says his partner understands that tennis remains his priority

On how it feels to be in a relationship, Sinner said it’s nice to have someone taking care of him after a tough training day.

“We are fine with each other. It’s nice to come home in the evening, perhaps after a complicated or tiring day of training, and find someone who takes care of you,” he said.

Paying a rich compliment to his would-be wife, the 19-year-old said what he likes most about her is that she is “tender, affectionate, but also very independent.”

“Above all, she (is) immediately tuned into my needs, which are focused on tennis,” the Italian said, adding, “You know that my priority goes to the sport I practice, especially now that I am still in the beginning and I have to learn basically everything to be a champion”.

He said he is giving his all to building a successful career for himself and has his partner’s support every step of the way.

“I think she’s the best person to do this journey with me,” Sinner said.
