WWE star Dakota Kai ruled out for months with torn ACL after Liv Morgan also suffered legit injury in same match-Alistair McGeorge-Entertainment – Metro

WWE superstar Dakota Kai could miss around nine months of action after suffering a torn ACL.
The Damage CTRL star, who is part of the villainous group with Iyo Sky and Bayley, is on the shelf after getting hurt during the same match which saw Liv Morgan also ruled out due to injury.
The news was revealed during Monday Night Raw this week, although Dakota herself is yet to address the disappointing turn of events.
The injury occurred during a recent match on SmackDown as Dakota and Bayley challenged then-Women’s Tag Team Champions Liv and Raquel Rodriguez.
Liv got hurt during the bout – although specific details around her injury are yet to be confirmed – and it’s now known that Dakota also suffered, with both stars facing lengthy spells on the sidelines.
According to reports, the latter may have been injured while trying to protect her opponent – who was hurt earlier on – as the match went on, while Raquel will try to retain the gold with Shotzi by her side on next week’s episode of Raw.

Fans have flooded Twitter with messages of support for Dakota days after her on-screen rival’s injury was first revealed.
‘Hope you heal up, big dawg Dakota Kai needs to be champion already,’ wrote one fan, while another added: ‘Praying for you to recover quickly @ImKingKota 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽’
A third viewer tweeted: ‘@ImKingKota sorry about your knee injury, real bummer. Hoping for a complete and rapid recovery.’

Others pointed out that Liv and Dakota are on the shelf at the same time as former WWE star Sasha Banks – now working in New Japan Pro Wrestling as Mercedes Mone – suffered an apparent broken ankle during Sunday’s NJPW Resurgence show.
Plenty of fans have been sending best wishes to all three stars, with one person tweeting: ‘Seeing Dakota Kai, Mercedes Mone and Liv Morgan all injured sucks man hoping all 3 have speedy recoveries.’
