SAS: Who Dares Wins ‘axed’ by Channel 4 after eight series-Ruth Lawes-Entertainment – Metro
A new series, however, will be filmed this summer.

SAS: Who Dares Wins is reportedly getting the chop from Channel 4 after a run of eight series.
The juggernaut reality series began airing on the It’s A Sin broadcaster in 2015 and, as well as the main series, has produced four celebrity spin-offs.
The intense show sees a team of recruits endure a two-week-long training course in tough environments around the world, replicating actual UK military training.
But Channel 4 has reportedly decided to axe SAS: Who Dares Wins to ‘shift their focus’ on Celebrity SAS, which has seen the likes of Ferne McCann and AJ Odudu put through their paces.
A spokesperson for the broadcaster said: ‘Due to the huge success of Celebrity SAS we have shifted our focus to prioritise this strand.
‘A longer, eight-part series is to commence filming in the summer,’ they continued to The Sun.

The show was first helmed by Ant Middleton, who was previously in the Royal Marines, but he was dropped in 2021 over ‘personal conduct.’
At the time of his firing, Channel 4 said in a statement: ‘Ant Middleton will not be taking part in future series of SAS: Who Dares Wins.
‘Following a number of discussions Channel 4 and Minnow Films have had with him in relation to his personal conduct it has become clear that our views and values are not aligned and we will not be working with him again.’

Show veteran Mark ‘Billy’ Billingham took his place and stepped up as chief instructor.
Billy was joined in the most recent season by Rudy Reyes, who was the chief instructor in last year’s series, Jason Foxy Fox and new recruit Chris Oliver, a 40-year-old former Special Forces operator and Royal Marines mountain leader who served in the special boat service.
