Amanda Holden seemingly tore into Holly Willoughby’s statement from This Morning addressing Phillip Schofield’s explosive exit, but has now insisted it was ‘taken out of context.’
Holly asked This Morning viewers, ‘Are you OK?’ during Monday’s programme – her first episode since Phillip Schofield’s shock exit and after he admitted to having an affair with a younger runner.
Amanda seized the chance to join so many others in mocking the bizarre statement.
Posting a video on Instagram of herself in a white dress similar to Holly’s, clasping her hands and asking her followers: ‘Hello, it is Tuesday. Are you OK?’
She also had another pop at Holly during her Heart breakfast radio show with Jamie Theakston, 52.
Jamie said to another guest ‘We’re worried about your well-being’ before Amanda howled: ‘I’m OK people, are you OK?’

A spokesperson for Amanda has now told Daily Mail that it was a misunderstanding.
‘Amanda has always made it clear in the past she has no issues with Holly. Today’s video has been taken out of context.’
On the other hand, the Britain’s Got Talent judge, 52, famously fell out with Schofield, 61, after he allegedly blocked her from hosting This Morning with him while Holly, 42, was in Australia filming I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2018.
She appeared to celebrate Schofield’s shock exit from This Morning last month. Shortly after he released his exit statement, Amanda took to her own Instagram page to share a simple image of the flexed bicep emoji with a black background.

The post had no caption, although the symbol is obviously frequently used as a way of celebrating or showing victory.
She has also previously named him as one of the three things she wouldn’t want to find in her house (alongside spiders and flies).
Speaking about hosting with Amanda in 2014, Schofield told Heat magazine: ‘She has a faulty edit button and she forgets she’s on the telly, which is enormously endearing and funny, but occasionally quite scary.’
Metro.co.uk have contacted Amanda Holden’s representatives for comment.
Holly Willoughby’s statement in full as she returns to This Morning after Phillip Schofield exit
‘Hi there, good morning. Josie, thank you for being here. Right, deep breath. Firstly, are you ok? I hope so. It feels very strange indeed sitting here without Phil.
‘I imagine that you might have been feeling a lot like I have – shaken, troubled, let down, worried for the wellbeing of people on all sides of what’s been going on and full of questions.
‘You me and all of us at This Morning gave our love and support to someone who was not telling the truth, who acted in a way that they themselves felt that they had to resign from ITV and step down from a career that they loved. That is a lot to process, and it’s equally hard to see the toll that it’s taken on their own mental health.
‘I think what unites us all now is a desire to heal, for the health and wellbeing of everyone.
‘I hope that we start this new chapter and get back to a place of warmth and magic that this show holds for all of us, we can find strength in each other.
‘From my heart, can I just say thank you for all of your kind messages and thank you for being here this morning. Myself, Josie, Dermot, Alison, Craig and every single person that works on this show will continue to work hard every single day to bring you this show that we love.’
