Love Island fans found themselves raising their eyebrows after Mitchel Taylor claimed he’d rather leave the villa than watch Molly Marsh get to know someone else.
The main drama rocking the villa is Molly’s, 21, rocky romance with Mitchel, 26, which was on the rocks.
After Mitchel explained that he was going to be taking a step back, he backtracked on his words after Molly chose to couple up with him.
The musical theatre performer still insisted that she isn’t ‘closed off,’ much to Mitchel’s annoyance.
‘I’d rather leave, than not be coupled with you, Molly. You’re my number one,’ he told her.
The sentiment didn’t sit well with viewers, with one person writing: ‘Mitchel stand up. “I’d rather leave than watch you crack on w someone else”is CRAZY after 5 days [sic].’
‘I’d rather leave if Molly don’t want me” Mitchel the lost Mary has clearly gone to your head because saying that after one week is INSANE,’ another added.
‘Mitchel needs to relax or LEAVE!!! I’m so tired of this constant complaining,’ one person seethed.
Molly’s romance drama started to annoy viewers, with many begging producers to devote more scenes to other cast members on Saturday.

Earlier tonight, newcomer Sammy pulled Molly for a chat and told her ‘At the end of the day, I don’t wanna come across way in your face, but at the same time, I don’t wanna waste my time.’
She replies: ‘I’m not closing myself off, I’m not doing that because it’s way too early, so you don’t have to think I’m out of bounds, because I’m not.’
Love Island continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2.
