Dana White Dismisses Jake Paul- ‘I Would Never Do Business With Those Guys’
UFC President Dana White is not keen to do any business with Jake Paul and his team in the future. White acknowledged that the YouTuber-turned-boxer has been doing the right things to lure real fighters to fight against him. But he made his stance clear on his involvement with ‘The Problem Child’ fighting a current UFC fighter.
In an interview with ESPN’s Brett Okamoto, White said, “Yeah, no, no, listen, you cannot deny the fact that this kid has inserted himself into the conversation with real guys. Yeah, this guy’s got three fights. He’s got three fights again, you know?
“And I gotta tell you, I don’t I don’t know if I truly believe the Ben Askren thing. I, I have a hard time wrapping my brain around that. Um, but yeah. It’s interesting to see how long it takes before this kid’s 15 minutes is up. But they’re being smart. They’re keeping him away from, you know, anybody that could actually really do damage? And I don’t know, the Ben Askren thing still is. blows my mind,” he added.

Okamoto further asked if White is willing to loan a UFC fighter to end Paul’s hype. “No, I, first of all, I would never do business with those guys. I just No. No, just not we do not loan them a guy, for what? No, no, no, there’s no way. You got plenty of goofballs out there that you can muster up to get in there and play these games that these guys are playing. Me? I’m not your guy,” said White.
Is Dana White right in his stance about Jake Paul?
‘The Problem Child’ certainly knows his way around garnering attention and grabbing eyeballs. But the UFC has plenty of superstars at their disposal who can draw fans to seats with their fighting caliber. So, it’s understandable why White doesn’t intend to entertain a clout chaser like Paul.
Also, Paul is yet to prove his mettle as a boxer. So, calling out MMA fighters to box with him might not entertain the stars of the UFC, even though that guarantees a good payday for them. So, White‘s stance is more than justifiable here.
