I’m a size 18 and tried to find a black dress for a ‘funeral’ – all that’s died is my confidence, nothing fits

A PLUS-SIZED fashionista says the only thing that’s died is her confidence after trying to find a black dress for a funeral-themed party.

Rachel Spicer, from Falkirk, regularly shares her clothing hauls and outfit choices with her 2.3 million followers on TikTok (@rachelspicer_).

In a recent clip, the 25-year-old did a PrettyLittleThing haul to find a frock for her friend’s 30th birthday.

Rachel, a size 18, said: “I’m trying to find an outfit for my friend’s funeral.

“It’s actually a fun-eral. He’s turning 30 so we’ve got to have a funeral for his twenties. RIP.

“My outfit inspo is rich widow.”

But the pieces she picked weren’t giving her life, as Rachel fumed: “I love when clothes don’t fit me, it makes me feel so good about myself.

“I’m glad he’s not actually dead because the only thing that’s died is my confidence.”

The plus-sized beauty had tried two ruffled midi dresses which wouldn’t zip up before turning to a £16 one shoulder mini dress.

She said: “Well at least this one fits, but I don’t know why I ordered it. I’m not going to lie, I’m not feeling the best in my body. I’m not feeling very body confident recently.

“So I don’t know why I thought I’d want to wear this because it makes me feel sick.

“I’m not comfy, I feel very exposed, you know. If I do a backbend you’ll see my vagina.”

Rachel was also disappointed by an off-the-shoulder mini dress, which she joked made her boobs look like SpongeBob SquarePants grump Squidward’s nose.

And she felt like she had “armbands on” in a puff sleeved polka dot frock.

But one frock won “maybe” status, a £22 one-shouldered mesh maxi dress.

She said: “Oh my god stop it, is this too extra? Because this is what I was going for, rich widow. It doesn’t give me any shape. But this might be it.

“I feel a bit like an evil queen.”

Rachel’s series of clips trying to find her funeral outfit have racked up more than two million views.

And social media users have insisted she’s drop-dead gorgeous.

One said: “You are bloody stunning babe ! If you don’t feel confident that it’s the clothes fault, not yours. You are gorgeous.”

A second wrote: “Well no matter how your feeling rn your drop dead gorgeous just remember to keep the goodies safe and inside lol.”

Meanwhile, a third added: “I love you to bits honestly. You’re just so true to yourself. I think you look fab.”

Rachel rose to fame on TikTok by showing off her two “dancing” chins and aims to help boost her followers’ self-confidence.

She’s spoken openly in the past about struggling with body confidence but now inspires fans to accept their body shape.
