While long-time fans are still waiting for the DLC to drop, newcomers can pick up a cheaper than usual copy of Elden Ring from Amazon.

If you love a good bargain you’re likely already prepping for Amazon Prime Day, which is bound to see a bunch of discounts on select video games.

Although it doesn’t officially begin until next week, on Tuesday, July 11 and Wednesday, July 12, one major title appears to have been discounted early and it’s 2022’s biggest success story.

Yes, we are of course referring to Elden Ring, which you can currently buy from Amazon for roughly £35, depending on the version.

This appears to be the cheapest it’s ever been and is frankly a steal for what is regarded as the best game of 2022, having been named Game of the Year at both The Game Awards and The Golden Joystick Awards.

Admittedly, Xbox owners get the best deal, but only by a single pound, as the Xbox version (which works on both Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S) is priced at £34.99.

The PlayStation 5 version is marginally more expensive at £35.90, but while still cheap the PlayStation 4 edition isn’t technically part of the sale.

Elden Ring (PlayStation 4) – £39.79 (34% off)

Elden Ring (PlayStation 5) – £35.90 (40% off)

Elden Ring (Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S) – £34.99 (42% off)

The PlayStation 4 price is permanent but the other two are limited time offers, so you best take advantage of them now before Amazon Prime ends or they run out of stock.

Meanwhile, exsiting Elden Ring fans are still waiting for more information on the Shadow Of The Erdtree DLC, which was announced in February with nothing but a single piece of artwork and no real details.

FromSoftware didn’t provide a launch window either, so it’s not clear if it’s due out this year or not.

If it’s not, there could be a proper trailer at The Game Awards 2023, which would an appropriate place to debut it given Elden Ring itself debuted during a previous Summer Game Fest. If not that, then perhaps that second rumoured PlayStation showcase that could happen in the autumn.

Publisher Bandai Namco held a summer showcase of its own this past weekend, but Elden Ring wasn’t so much as mentioned, with the primary focus being upcoming anime games like Sand Land.
