Chris Hemsworth makes us all feel old with Tom Hiddleston throwback as Thor turns 10
Chris Hemsworth has made us feel incredibly old as he celebrated 10 years of Thor movies with his pal and on-screen brother Tom Hiddleston.
10 years! We’ll let that sink in.
The actor, who was relatively unknown at the time of his casting, shared a sweet throwback snap with Loki actor Tom when they first signed up for their roles.
Staring down the camera, the fresh-faced pair look miles away from their celestial counter-parts.
The actor couldn’t resist poking fun at an old article about him and Tom landing the roles, which referred to the pair as ‘no-names’ as they were ‘handed the keys’ to the Thor kingdom.
‘This year marks the 10th anniversary of THOR when two unknown lads were given the keys to the kingdom,’ the 37-year-old wrote.
‘It’s been a hell of a ride and we clearly haven’t aged a day 😂 @twhiddleston @marvelstudios.’
Thor, directed by Kenneth Branagh, was released in 2011, introducing the god of thunder, who would go on to star in two more movies, including the widely-loved Thor: Ragnarok, and the Avengers movies.
Now, the pair are set to star in Thor: Love and Thunder, alongside the likes of Natalie Portman (Jane Foster), Christian Bale (Gorr), Melissa McCarthy (Hela) and Russell Crowe (Zeus).
Meanwhile, we’ll be getting double the Chrises on the upcoming flick, as Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord was also confirmed on the cast.
It is unclear how heavily Star-Lord will feature in Love And Thunder, but it could be that the film picks up where Endgame left off for Thor and his new Guardians of the Galaxy pals.
Pratt had also let his appearance in the film slip during an interview with actor Tom Holland – also a notorious leaker – on Instagram Live as he discussed his upcoming trip to Australia.
He said: ‘I’m excited to go a country that took the lockdown very serious and eradicated the disease and now they’re fully up and back to normal.
‘That’ll be so good there and to go to like a restaurant.’
We can’t wait!
Thor: Love and Thunder is set for release on May 6, 2022.
