I thought I found the perfect wedding guest dress but everyone’s said the same thing – now I’m doubting my eyesight

A WOMAN who thought she’d found the perfect dress to wear to a wedding has hit back at people saying it’s “too white” for such an occasion.

Lauren took to TikTok to share a video of herself sporting the ASOS gown, which is described as “sage green” on the website.

“Quite possibly the most beautiful wedding guest dress ever,” she wrote over the top of the video.

“ASOS, this is a dream,” she captioned the clip.

But tonnes of people in the comments section insisted that the dress looked too white for her to wear to a wedding.

“If there’s a chance that it looks white on camera it’s a no go!” one wrote.

“I *know* it’s sage green, but it’s baaaassssicalllyyyy white,” another added.

With Lauren replying: “Just stay with me… I posted the colour in a new video if it’s white there then I will accept my error but I swear it’s green!”

“Too close to white,” someone else wrote.

“If the light you have on in your room is enough to make it this light it will probably show up white in the pictures/outside.”

“Filter on the video too,” Lauren wrote.

“it’s a drab day it has to be done x I promise gals I’m staring at it rn and it’s green.”

“This is super pretty but feel like it could be too close to white, esp in photos,” another added.

“Girl this is white. Totally not appropriate for a wedding,” someone else insisted.

But others hit back, with one writing: “Why is everyone getting offended like it’s their wedding you’re going to? It’s definitely green.”

“Why is everyone saying it’s close to white? ITS LITERALLY GREEN!!!” another added.

“This isn’t white, or ‘basically white’ it’s clearly green (and beautiful),” someone else said.

“Came to the comments knowing people were going to lose their minds about it being too white. Love it. V cute,” another commented.

Lauren then returned to TikTok to share another video, as she wrote: “Y’all making me doubt my eyesight now, so let’s prove it’s green.”

“This dress seems to be stirring up a fair bit of controversy,” she said.

“So just to prove to the internet that I know what my colours are, this is a white top, and this is the dress. It’s clearly green!

“Personally if someone wore it at my wedding I’d be saying how beautiful they are and can I borrow it.

“But of course everyone has their own opinions.”
