WWE star Grayson Waller very publicly called out Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson on SmackDown this week.
The Aussie Icon spoke backstage on Friday night’s show to hype up the evening’s United States Invitational match which saw him battling Butch, AJ Styles and eventual winner Santos Escobar and he turned his attention to the legendary star.
Speaking about his rise up the ranks in WWE, the loudmouthed star said: ‘I’m not surprised. Main Eventing at Madison Square Garden against Hall of Famer Edge – if I had longer than 15 minutes to get ready, I would have beaten him, too.
‘But that’s okay because I swam so much that now everyone’s talking about Grayson Waller, including The Rock, The Great One himself.’
He took a moment to mock Dwayne over their recent war of words on Twitter, pointing out that in the meantime the People’s Champ has been ignoring the ongoing Bloodline saga.
There had been plenty of rumours of a clash between The Rock and his cousin Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, but the dream match has failed to materialise.
