Police search Las Vegas home in connection with Tupac Shakur’s 1996 murder-Ruth Lawes-Entertainment – Metro

Officers have reportedly searched a Las Vegas home as part of an investigation into Tupac Shakur’s murder.

The property in Henderson near Interstate 11 and Wagon Wheel Drive was combed over by detectives on Monday night after they served a search warrant, KLAS reported.

Investigations into the rapper’s killing have been ongoing since he died after being shot near the Las Vegas strip nearly 30 years ago. No-one has ever been arrested for his murder.

However, his death has long been connected to the death of the Notorious B.I.G, after he was shot and killed six months later in March 1997, and to the East Coast/West Coast rivalry.

Widely considered as one of the most influential rap artists of all time though his career lasted just five years, Tupac sold more than 75 million records worldwide.

Both 1996’s All Eyez On Me and his Greatest Hits collection have been certified Diamond, surpassing the 10 million mark and placing them among the top-selling albums of all time.

Earlier this month, Tupac honoured with a posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in a ceremony attended by his sister Sekyiwa ‘Set’ Shakur, who said it had been a childhood dream of his.
