Alongside its Comic-Con panel, Lego has unveiled two Sonic The Hedgehog BrickHeadz figures that’ll launch in just a couple of months.

Sega really is going all in on its collaboration with Lego. Earlier this year, they announced no less than four new Sonic The Hedgehog themed sets, only to reveal a fifth set just a couple of months later featuring the Death Egg Robot from Sonic The Hedgehog 2.

There’ll also be some kind of in-game collaboration with Sonic Superstars, with pre-orders including an in-game Lego skin for Dr Eggman.

Now, Lego has casually dropped two more Lego Sonic figures that’ll launch at the beginning of September; specifically new additions to its BrickHeadz line.

BrickHeadz are basically Lego’s take on Funko Pop! figures, with a similar size and generic design, that is then altered to fit whichever characters it’s supposed to be.

The two Sonic figures are of the blue blur himself and his best friend Tails. Both of them stand at over three inches tall and come with a baseplate so they can be easily stood up.

Don’t expect the tails to spin though (Picture: Lego)

Each figure also has a unique accessory for them to hold. Sonic gets one of the franchise’s iconic gold (well, yellow) rings while Tails comes with a wrench, referencing his mechanical skills.

Both of them are priced at £9.99 each on the Lego website (just follow this link for Sonic and this one for Tails), although there’s no bundle that contains both. So, altogether that’s £19.98, which is still cheaper than just one of the sets with minifigures.

The announcement coincides with Lego’s own panel at San Diego Comic-Con, which ran a scavenger hunt for attendees to win unique prizes.

At least one fan has already managed to find them and, as shared by The Brick Fan, it includes a Lego Sonic pin alongside a few other goodies. It even comes packaged in a Blockbuster inspired VHS case… for some reason.

It also has pins of Captain America and a Star Wars speeder (Picture: Instagram via The Brick Fan)
