BBC presenter Emma Louise Jones has detailed worrying encounters she has with a strange man while she goes on dog walks.

The sports host, 33, shared her experience on Twitter as she urged bystanders to ‘not just ignore and walk past’ women who are being harassed.

Emma explained that over the past few days she has been ‘repeatedly stopped’ by an unnamed man who ‘tells me he wants to take photos of me (along with other stuff I won’t mention here.’

She continued: ‘This makes women/girls feel uncomfortable & I would urge anyone who sees what looks like an uncomfortable interaction to not just ignore it and walk past.

‘You don’t always have to intervene, but even just having the presence of someone else nearby can be reassuring.’

The MOTDx and Viaplay Sports presenter previously revealed a catfish online had been using her photos to lure in singletons on dating sites.

Emma was sent screenshots of fake accounts that were reportedly using her photos on a website called Uberf***y, for ‘users to meet local singles’.

Her images were also used for a fake profile on Tinder.

In September last year, Emma was the victim of vile abuse from trolls after she shared a photo of herself in a dazzling, full-length dress while standing on a rugby pitch in her heels.

She wrote on Twitter:‘Thank you to the overwhelming majority of you who have called out the few misogynists & dinosaurs in the replies to this. Unfortunately it’s usually those people who shout the loudest,’ she said at the time.

‘I was hosting an awards ceremony & I felt lovely in my new dress, so I wanted to share it.’

Fellow sports presenter Laura Woods responded: ‘What some people don’t get is…you’re allowed to be both! You’re smart and you’re beautiful. One shouldn’t and doesn’t cancel out the other.

‘I absolutely love seeing other people’s glams, women AND men. And if you stopped posting them I’d be pretty disappointed tbh.’
