Katie Price boldly expressed her desire to join the Strictly Come Dancing line-up.

The long-running ballroom competition was won in 2022 by celeb cameraman-turned-dancer Hamza Yassin and his professional partner Jowita Przystal.

Naturally, with the next series only two months away, rumours about the line-up for the 2023 competition have started, with many famous names in the running.

While we’re yet to find out who’ll be part of this year’s series, Katie sent a pretty direct statement via Instagram Stories over a potential involvement.

Sharing a picture of the show’s professional dancer Graziano Di Prima and another dancer with Katie’s face photoshopped, she penned: ‘Yesssss @bbcstrictly.’

In a separate post she wrote: ‘Strictly 2023… Let’s make it happen…I’ve got moves you’ve never seen.’

While we’re not sure whether she’s being serious, her fans seem to be onboard with the idea.

‘Yessss this would be iconic,’ one person replied.

‘It would be AMAZING!!! x,’ another replied.

In 2020, it was reported that the mother-of-three was keen to take part in the hit dance show.

A source told The Sun at the time: ‘It’s really early days but she’s in talks with bosses.

Katie’s ex-husband Peter Andre took part in the series back in 2015 and was partnered with current It Takes Two presenter Janette Manrara.

Other celebrities rumoured to be taking part this year include This Morning host Josie Gibson and former Love Island star Zara McDermott.

Elsewhere Wham! legend Andrew Ridgeley has done little to dampen speculation he could be joining the competition series, admitting he would ‘never say no.’

Angela Rippon, 78, is also another name in the mix.

In the 1980s, the presenter first hosted Come Dancing, the show that provided inspiration to the BBC programme.

Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One later this year.
