The cast for Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test season has been revealed, with a bloodied Tom Sandoval joining the line-up.

The Vanderpump Rules star has rarely been out of the headlines this year after it emerged that he cheated on long-term girlfriend Ariana Madix with their co-star, Raquel Leviss.

It seems as though the Scandoval drama is still weighing on his shoulders as a trailer for the new series – which starts on September 25 on Fox.

In the brief teaser, the bar owner looked disheveled, with blood pouring from his nose, as he declared: ‘I want to get punished.’

Elsewhere in the footage, JoJo Siwa appeared to fall backwards from a very high ledge suspended across a mountain, while Blac Chyna was visibly afraid of another grueling task.

‘People want to underestimate me. I’m a lot stronger than people think,’ Tara Reid announced amid a montage of the challenges.

They will be joined by Jack Osbourne, Desperate Housewives and Beverly Hills 90210 actor Brian Austin Green, Kelly Rizzo, Bachelor alums Tyler Cameron and Nick Viall, and Chrisley Knows Best’s Savannah Chrisley.

A string of athletes will also be taking part, with NBA icon Robert Horry, NFL athlete Dez Bryant and Olympians Erin Jackson and Bodie Miller competing.

Former special-forces operatives Mark Billingham, Rudy Reyes, Jovon Quarles and Jason Fox are set to put the stars through their paces.

The official synopsis reads: ‘FOX’s ultimate celebrity social experiment, Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, returns for a second season, enlisting a troop of household names to endure some of the harshest, most grueling challenges from the playbook of the actual Special Forces selection process.

‘This time around, the recruits will be faced with the harsh reality of winter warfare training on the mountains of New Zealand where the terrain and freezing temperatures are brutal and the tasks will feel like torture.

‘They will face the ice breaker drill where they will be submerged in a frozen lake to find their body temperature plummeting to near hypothermic levels. They will attempt a treacherous ravine crossing atop a 4700ft snowcapped mountain peak as well as an emergency escape out of a helicopter submerged deep in icy waters.

‘There are no votes, and no eliminations – just survival. These celebrities, who are so used to being in the spotlight, will quickly learn the meaning of “no guts, no glory” – and no glam.

‘In this unique series, the only way for these recruits to leave is to give up on their own accord, through failure or potential injury, or by force from the DS. Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test is the ultimate test of physical, mental and emotional resilience – revealing these celebrities’ deepest and truest character. Who will quit, who will survive?’

Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test premieres on Fox on September 25.
