UFC 265 Gets a New Fight:-Uriah Hall Set to Make a Quick Turnaround After Chris Weidman Victory

As we inch towards the halfway point of this year, the UFC is slowly starting to put together its cards for the latter part of this year. With more and more cities and countries being opened up, the promotion has scheduled PPV events at the likes of Florida, Las Vegas, and Arizona thus far. UFC 265 will take place on August 7th. The headliner will be Amanda Nunes as she takes on Julianna Pena for the bantamweight title.

Uriah Hall vs Sean Strickland is the latest fight to be added to the card. Hall and Strickland are ranked 8th and 12th respectively in the 185-pound division and will be aiming to take a huge leap forward in rankings with a win at UFC 265.

Sean Strickland vs Uriah Hall at UFC 265: Who will extend their streak to 5-0?

After a two-year layoff due to an accident, Strickland has made an amazing comeback thus far. He made his return in October 2020 with a win over Jack Marshman. ‘Tarzan’ followed that up with a stunning TKO win over Brendan Allen the very next month. Most recently, he secured an impressive unanimous decision win over Krzysztof Jotko earlier this month. He will aim to build on his win streak and make it 5-0 against a seasoned veteran in Hall.

Hall is also on a four-fight win streak at the moment. However, he has not been as active as Strickland having fought just once in 2018,2019,2020. His most recent fight was against Chris Weidman at UFC 261.

The ‘All American’ suffered one of the most gruesome injuries in the sport when his leg snapped in half right as he threw a leg kick which Hall checked. The fight only lasted 17-seconds and therefore Hall is fit to make a quick turnaround.

Hall and Strickland have secured 76% and 43% of their wins via T/KO and therefore the fight between the two men will be exciting. Add to that they have run through their opponents in their recent outings and you have a fantastic addition to the UFC 265 card.

What do you make of a fight between Uriah Hall and Sean Strickland? Who do you think takes the win and moves to 5-0? Let us know in the comments below!
