I bought two of the cheapest Temu wedding dresses to see if they’d work for a big day – one was completely inappropriate

IT’S perhaps not the first place you’d think of when it comes to wedding dress shopping.

But after spotting some cheap options on Temu, one woman decided to take a gamble and order a couple, to see what they were like.

After having a browse on Temu, Georgina saw that they were selling wedding dressesTikTok/@georgina_brights

So she decided to order two to see what the quality and fit was likeTikTok/@georgina_brights

She paid £30 for this one-shouldered number, but couldn’t get the zip done up herselfTikTok/@georgina_brights

And while she loved the little train on the dress, it was very sheerTikTok/@georgina_brights

Georgina opened up the parcel, which also contained some other bits including accessories for her daughter’s horse-themed party, in a video on her TikTok page.

“I bought wedding dresses from Temu,” she laughed.

“Oh my goodness, I can’t wait to get these on.

“I wanted to get the quality, to see the fit and who knows? They might be great.”

She then shared another video, as she geared up to try the two dresses on.

“I was having a little browse the other day and I came across these dresses and I thought, I am so intrigued to see what these look like,” Georgina said.

“The first one I got was this one-shoulder piece. Um, okay!

“Listen, it’s got a tiny little thread hanging off there but I think this one was like £30. So let’s try it on.”

Once it was on, Georgina admitted that she had “a bit of a problem” – she couldn’t zip the dress up and her five-year-old daughter also couldn’t help.

“So we just have to kind of imagine it like this,” she continued.

“But listen, it’s obviously sheer, you can kind of see through it.

“But I mean, it even has a little train. I think you make it work. If it was sitting like this, it’s not terrible for £30.”

She then opened up the second dress, as she admitted: “I’m pretty sure this is not what I ordered, because I don’t remember the sequins.

“Unless they just weren’t coming up very clearly on the picture.

“But let’s try this on.”

“Okay, so I prefer the bottom style of dress on this,” she said.

“However, it is completely see-through. I mean, oh my God.

“This one was £50!

“To be fair, the sizing was alright, but I think that’s the only positive of these dresses.”

“Wedding dresses from Temu,” Georgina captioned her video.

“The first one wasn’t bad but that second one on me (laughing emoji).”

People were quick to comment on the video, with one writing: “Way too expensive for what it is.”

“Yes!” Georgina emphatically agreed.

“There’s better ones on there,” someone else insisted.

As a third laughed: “The second one is giving year 2 communion!”

Upon opening this one, she said she didn’t remember ordering one with sequinsTikTok/@georgina_brights

And while she preferred the bottom of this dress, there was a pretty major downsideTikTok/@georgina_brights

Namely that the gown was almost entire see-through on the bottomTikTok/@georgina_brights
