I wear PJs outside – I just tuck them in, tie a belt & pop on a trench coat – statement heels complete the look

MOST people would wear them strictly at home – but the latest craze sweeping fashion land is to style pyjamas for out and about.

Several social media users have jumped on the craze and showcased how the nightwear they’ve bought in popular high-street retailers has worked perfectly as a fashion statement piece.

The latest to do so is TikTok’s Jherminee, aka @its_me_jherminee, who took to her profile to shout about her latest fashion find and why she can’t get enough.

The TikToker said after she’d spotted some printed, yellow pyjamas on ASOS, she knew she’d be wearing them for plenty more than just sleeping.

So Jherminee recorded a video and explained how others can follow in her footsteps and step out in style – but also comfort.

In a clip posted to her platform, she said: “How to wear your PJs proud baby.”

She then swapped from a casual T-shirt look into her bright yellow shirt and trouser combo, which are both covered in large zebra print.

The woman, from America, then addressed her 2000 plus followers, as she began : “Hey girl, you going to wear your pyjamas outside and get away with it?

“Well, here is how to wear pyjamas outside.”

Jherminee then launched into her rules, starting out with how it’s imperative to find a “cute” style either online or in store.

“Then tuck them in to give your body some shape,” she continued, as she showed how she’d done up the shirt and put it inside her trousers to nip in her waist.

But she then took the look one step further, using accessories she already had in her wardrobe.

The social media star then said: “If that’s not enough shape, then get you a belt.”

Doing exactly as she’d said Jherminee wrapped a large black belt with a double gold buckle around her waist, separating the two-piece further and “accentuating it”.

Finishing off the look, Jherminee added another layer in the form of a long, trench coat.

She said: “Number three – get a really cute duster or trench coat.”

And her final addition was all about footwear as she teamed the animal print pyjamas with a clashing leopard print heel.

She revealed: “Make sure you get some statement heels and I promise you will not hate me for it.”

But she left her best piece of advice until last, as she advised: “Make sure you take your confidence because this is a bold look and you may have some haters.”

However, Jherminee was met with nothing but compliments after she shared the video of her modelling her nightwear.

The post gained lots of likes and comments, with many saying they “loved” the finished look.
