Strictly Come Dancing will be back on our screens in just a few weeks, which makes us very excited.

Summer may technically be over on August 31 (according to the meteorological calendar), but for us it happens the moment Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman shimmy on stage to the sound of the Strictly soundtrack, and we’re here to share reports that this is happening on September 23.

Nothing says autumn quite like putting on a pair of comfy PJs, pouring yourself a hot chocolate and gathering at the sofa to watch some British celebs shake their stuff to Dave Arch and his band.

It has also been claimed by The Sun that the BBC series will draw to an end on December 16 meaning 13 weeks of dancing will guide us into winter as the programme usually does.

It’s no surprise then that the cast are already at work perfecting their moves inrehearsals, after the full line-up was announced.

Les Dennis was the final name to be revealed, joining the list of famous faces including Zara McDermott and Bobby Brazier who are said to be the two contestants everyone wants to spin around the dance floor.

If a month is too long to wait to discover who is partnered with who then a popular theory may have the answers.

Height is usually a large consideration when the Strictly team decide who should be waltzing with who.

The celebrities and their professional partners are often of similar stature.

With that information in mind, it’s possible 5’10 Layton Williams could be with 6’2 Kai Widdrington or 6′ Johannes Radebe after he confirmed having a male partner.

In the mixed-sex couples, the male is often slightly taller than the female so Les Dennis and Dianne Buswell could be a good match, as well as Ellie Leach and Gorka Marquez, and Adam Thomas with Luba Mushtuk.

Favourites Zara and Bobby could be with Neil Jones and Nadiya Bychkova.

Rounding off the cast are Nikita Kanda, Annabel Croft, Amanda Abbington, Angela Scanlon, Nigel Harman, Krishnan Guru-Murthy, Eddie Kadi, and Jody Cundy.

Angela Rippon will also be taking part in the show, and her inclusion has been praised by former contestant Kaye Adams.

Kaye called the addition of older contestants a ‘really positive’ choice and added that age is often overlooked when considering representation.

Metro.co.uk contacted BBC for comment, who do not confirm TX dates until official schedules are released.
