Carol Vorderman shared some news absolutely fit for a TV queen such as herself as she revealed she had been honoured with inclusion in the Vogue 25.

The annual list chosen by the publication celebrates ‘the women defining – and redefining – Britain in 2023’.

Countdown icon Carol, 62, was tickled pink as she shared the news, which marked her first time appearing in British Vogue.

Sharing a video to Instagram, the Perfect 10 quiz podcast host and qualified pilot was seen sat in a chair in her garden, flicking through the latest edition of the prestigious magazine.

‘Vogue September – I tell you what, I am thrilled to have been chosen by Vogue to be in their – it’s an annual thing – Vogue 25, where they choose with 25 women,’ she told the camera, as Madonna’s classic song Vogue played.

The mum of two then quipped: ‘The other 24 are unbelievable, whereas I’m not sure how I’ve slipped in.’

‘However, if you want to look, I’m on page 195,’ she chuckled, going on to exclaim: ‘First time in Vogue!’

‘BRITISH VOGUE @britishvogue ❤️ So this is what it looks like… Being a bit daft here…,’ Carol added in the caption.

The TV star and part-time fitness influencer (basically) has also become known for speaking out about political issues as she tries to hold MPs and the government to account.

She continued: ‘But this is about ALL OF US who want to see this country try to regain some dignity after this catastrophic Tory time…

‘We have time leading up to the next general election to do our utmost to make sure the result turns the Tories into dust… now really is a time to stand up and be counted xx’

‘Ps I still know a lot about counting 😉👍🏼❤️,’ maths whiz Carol joked.

There was also an update to her Instagram bio, which also now reads: ‘One of “Vogue 25 Women…defining UK in 2023.”’

Well, wouldn’t you?

Other figures on the respected list include Kylie Minogue, Naga Munchetty, Killing Eve star Jodie Comer, Heartstopper writer Alice Oseman, Queen Camilla and Commonwealth secretary-general Patricia Scotland.

British Vogue highlighted the I’m A Celebrity star’s ‘current standing as one of social media’s most outspoken critics of the government’, which has ‘won her legions of new fans’. 

‘So many people come up to me every day and say thank you for giving them a voice,’ she told the publication.
