WWE superstar Ava has blasted vile trolls for ‘truly wild’ abuse after this week’s NXT Heatwave special.

The 22-year-old wrestler – whose father is WWE and Hollywood legend Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson – played a key role in Tuesday night’s broadcast when she appeared in her first ever singles match.

She came up short against Ivy Nile and avoided any further attacks from her rival as she was carried out of the arena by two masked men who appeared to be part of her Schism group.

However, in a backstage skit it was revealed the two men were actually Ivy’s allies Julius and Brutus Creed, and they kidnapped her as part of the storyline.

Now, Ava, real name Simone Johnson, has fired back at people apparently forgetting how to behave like decent human beings as she called them out for some truly disgusting comments.

Taking to X – formerly known as Twitter – she wrote: ‘Not liking me for whatever reason is whatever but telling me you wish the creeds killed me because “i’m an ugly b***h” is truly wild. (sic)’

Fans have rallied round the rising star after her tweet, with plenty of people calling out the ‘disgusting’ trolls.

‘Truly disgusting people,’ wrote one fan, while another added: ‘A lot of these “fans” need to learn not to cross the line and actually think before they say anything, clearly.’

‘That is absolutely disgusting. Ignore the haters Ava, you’re very pretty 💙,’ a third follower said, and someone else replied: ‘They hate because they are jealous! Don’t ever let them bring you down.’

As part of the storyline kidnapping, the Creed Brothers laid down a challenge for Schism duo Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler – AKA The Dyad – to face them next Tuesday in a Steel Cage Match with the Creeds’ NXT status on the line.

After NXT Heatwave ended, Ava took to X/Twitter and quipped: ‘Thanks for your concern everyone they finally let me out & ivy’s face still looks even more busted from my kick 😘’
