OFFICIAL: Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua Has a Fight Date and Venue

The most-awaited heavyweight battle between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua is finally official with a date on board. Following several reports and rumors, WBC champion Fury has announced the unification clash to take place on August 14 in Saudi Arabia.

While the undefeated heavyweight is spending his days in the USA, he took time to turn to social media and sent a stern message. Per Fury, he had received a call from the Prince Khalid of Saudi Arabia and seems prepared to fight ‘AJ’.

He has also sent a message to his upcoming rival/unified titlist Anthony Joshua and vowed to “smash” him when they collide inside the ring.

Meanwhile, Anthony Joshua has seemingly remained silent on the issue. While Tyson Fury and the matchmakers have made a lot of noise in recent times, ‘AJ’ didn’t enter the mix. Hence, the official confirmation can now urge him to appear on the mic.

Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua- Fight for the Ages

The All-English clash will settle the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, a tag last held by Lennox Lewis. While Tyson Fury holds the WBC belt, Anthony Joshua has the WBA, WBO, IBF, and titles. Thus, their upcoming fight will bring all the straps under one roof.

Both men are currently in their prime and have staged sensational wins in their last appearances. Fury became the WBC titleholder by vanquishing Deontay Wilder via TKO in February 2020. Meanwhile, Anthony Joshua defended his unified belts by stopping Kubrat Pulev on a showdown in December.

The stage is now set for both men to collide and the battle will help to craft the future of the heavyweight division. Nevertheless, the unification fight is one of the most desirable matchups in the combat world at this stage.

Likewise, it will also be a career-defining fight for Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. They have proven to be two of the absolute best in the division. Hence, only an in-ring collision can determine the better pugilist amongst them.
