LeBron James Picks Stephen Curry as the Deserving Choice for 2021 MVP Throne

Stephen Curry is embarrassing his opponents day in and out with an incredible season in the making. Yet another night brought a fresh record for Curry as he became the 2021 scoring champion.

In a regular-season finale matchup against Memphis Grizzlies, Steph scored 46 points in a 113-101 victory for the Golden State Warriors. He became the oldest scoring champion since Michael Jordan achieved it back in 1998.

Steph is scoring a massive average of 31.8 points per game this year. And a man of dominance himself, LeBron James was lured into saying that Steph deserves to be the season MVP.

Former MVP LeBron James picks his favorite for this season

LeBron, a former MVP himself, had a sensational season with a championship at the top in the Orlando Bubble. He missed several games this time around but still manages to sit at the 25 PPG mark for the Lakers.

Even though the two bigwigs will soon clash in the Play-ins, Bron has clearly revealed his favorite at the moment. It’s Steph Curry!

The Kia MVP race is tightening with Denver’s Nikola Jokic grabbing the lead. The likes of Joel Embiid, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Luka Doncic, and Stephen Curry are battling between the top 5 MVP spots.

Steph’s entire 2020-21 season has been a highlight despite the absence of his counterpart, Klay Thompson. He has pushed through the roster with Andrew Wiggins and led the team so far to make it to the eighth seed in the West.

Stephen Curry in MVP contention – Will he make it to the top?

Meanwhile, many debates have surrounded his performance on whether Stephen Curry is deserving of that MVP throne or not. A week before, NBA analyst and former player, Kendrick Perkins, shunned the Warriors’ All-star from the MVP race.

He said that despite full respect for the 33-year old, he’s not better than any of his competitors for the MVP title.

Nevertheless, the star man himself, LeBron James has given a green signal to this by stating Steph as the worthy one out of the lot.

Without any doubt, Steph has had a bunch of dreamy performances and continues to surprise his fans with what he brings to the game. His bangers from beyond the arc, the smooth-sailing layup emerging from a crowded set of defenders is simply phenomenal from the 6ft-3inch point guard.

However, it’s still left to see who finally clinches the Most Valuable Player trophy for this season.
