The Chase’s Mark Labbett shows off impressive 10 stone weight loss in dapper photo
The Chase’s Mark Labbett has shown off his impressive 10 stone weight loss on Twitter.
Posting a photo of himself looking dapper in a nicely fitted suit, the 55-year-old showed off the results of his impressive body overhaul after cutting down on sugar and carbs.
Mark, nicknamed The Beast on the ITV quiz show, is beaming in the photo, which he captioned: ‘The next member of the Double O section?’
People flocked to the comment section to congratulate his impressive transformation, also noting the similarities between Mark and James Bond.
Fans couldn’t help but comment on how ‘suave’ and ‘sophisticated’ the gameshow whiz looked.
‘Looking fantastic Mr Bond,’ one person commented.
‘Looking great, what a great challenge you have achieved,’ said another.
Another penned: ‘You’re looking well! Keep up the good work, Sir!’
When Mark visited the Loose Women panel in March, he credited dropping a staggering five trouser sizes to a low sugar and carb diet and ‘running after a hyperactive toddler’.
He also explained that a friend advised him against getting a gastric band because of the way he consumed his calories through sugar.
He said: ‘I’m not a drinker, but sugar has always been my downfall. A good friend of mine who had the gastric band said it won’t do any good for me as I get all my calories by sugar, and it’s too easy to digest.
‘I still have sugar but an awful lot less. I should have less still.’
He continued to give an impressive further insight into his weight loss, adding: ‘I am gradually dropping Xs off my size. I’ve gone from 5XL to 4XL, and it looks like the next time I go shopping, I’ll be able to squeeze into XL underpants.
‘I’ve lost 10 stone. I was 29 stone when I was a full-time teacher in 2003, and I was in danger of high blood pressure.’
The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
