Naomi Campbell, 50, ready for ‘new chapter’ as a mum as she makes first appearance since announcing birth of daughter
Naomi Campbell made her first appearance since announcing she had become a mum for the first time, telling fans she is ‘ready for a new chapter’.
The fashion icon, 50, popped up in a new video of her YouTube show No Filter with Naomi on Tuesday.
She can be seen in the video wearing a patterned brown top and long straight hair as she chatted to Diane in the nearly 40 minute video.
Naomi made no reference to her baby joy in the video, in which she interviewed designer Diane von Furstenberg.
However in the live chat during the video premiere, she commented: ‘Hello my darlings, thank you so much for the pre birthday wishes …and for my new chapter as a mother I’m honoured and humbled,’ then added three heart emoji and a praying hands emoji.
The model did not reveal when her daughter had been born but shared a picture of her daughter’s tiny feet resting in the palm of her hand in a sweet photo posted on social media.
The new mum captioned the snap on all her channels: ‘A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother, So honoured to have this gentle soul in my life.
‘There are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you my angel. There is no greater love.’
Naomi has yet to reveal her baby girl’s name, and has not shared a photo of her face.
In the interview with Diane, she did not mention her baby girl but shared how lockdown has had some ‘positives’ for some people.
She added: ‘I also know it’s been a time of reflection, it’s been a positive time for some too. In terms of the lives that we’ve lost, that’s tragic.’
Naomi has personally not revealed any details about her love life and it is unknown if she is in a relationship at the moment.
In 2018 she opened up to Vogue about having kids, saying she never rules anything out.
‘I’d love to have kids. I don’t discount anything in life. I love kids and always will,’ Naomi shared.
‘When I’m around children, I become a child myself. That’s the little girl I don’t ever want to lose.’
