First look at Too Hot To Handle season 2 as Netflix confirms release date

Too Hot To Handle season two is on the way, with new episodes premiering next month.

A first-look trailer for the Netflix dating show has sent our temperatures soaring, teasing an ‘all-new steamy retreat’ for singletons to avoid each other in.

‘You asked for it and boy have we delivered,’ a voiceover warned, giving us a glimpse at the luxury villa.

‘Get ready for a new batch of hot chastity-challenged singles, resisting temptation in this all-new steamy retreat.

‘Can they handle the heat in paradise?’

Well, we don’t have too long to find out, as the series drops on June 23, with the final batch of instalments arriving on our screens on June 30.

Too Hot To Handle is a dating show with a difference, with contestants living alongside each other in a swanky, sun drenched villa – but they are forced to abstain from intimate contact in a bid to walk away with a cash prize.

So kind of like Love Island but totally opposite?

The first episode of season one saw stars get swept away in the romance, before virtual assistant Lana put a dampener on the festivities.

She announced that a prize pot of $100,000 (£75,000) was available to win – but the stars had to refrain from sexual contact for four weeks, otherwise the prize money was reduced.

The main aim is to leave the villa with a lasting connection, and a lot of money to spend in duty free – but it didn’t quite work out like that as not everyone was on the same page.

Yes, we’re looking at you, Francesca Farago and Harry Jowsey…

Francesca and Harry caused chaos when it was clear they couldn’t keep their hands off each other – to the annoyance of their co-stars – causing the prize fund to drop drastically.

Series one had a slightly controversial end, which saw the 10 remaining contestants all be declared winners and split the $75,000 (£54,000) prize money.

Sadly it wasn’t to last for the former couple, who split shortly after returning home.

Fingers crossed the new batch of contestants have better luck.

Too Hot To Handle season two arrives on Netflix on June 23, with season one available to stream now.
