Tiffany Haddish has shut down rumours that she’s replacing Ellen DeGeneres on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Ellen confirmed that she’s quitting her titular programme next year once the upcoming 19th series comes to an end, following allegations of a toxic work environment.

Reports had suggested bosses were keen to sign Girls Trip star Tiffany as the presenter’s replacement, but she’s since quashed rumours stating ‘ain’t nobody said nothing to me about that’.

‘I haven’t commented on it because ain’t nobody that give those jobs talk to me about it,’ Tiffany said.

‘The reason I’ve even been popping up guest hosting Ellen is because she wanted some days off.’

She continued to The Breakfast Club: ‘I’m learning a new skill. That’s it. Y’all just watching me learn in front of everybody.

‘I don’t know if that’s grooming me to take over because ain’t nobody talk to me about that. Ain’t nobody said nothing to me about that.’

Tiffany is no stranger to The Ellen DeGeneres Show and stepped in for Ellen in October 2020 and again last month, while she has also hosted Kids Say The Darndest Things.

Ellen spoke out about her decision to end her show, stating she was ‘forever grateful’ to her fans for ‘changing her life’ by watching the series.

The comedian told her virtual audience last week: ‘I am announcing that next season, season 19, is going to be my last season. So, the past 18 years, you have to know have changed my life. You have all changed my life.

‘I’m forever grateful to all of you for watching, for laughing and dancing, sometimes crying. This show has been the greatest experience of my life, and I owe it all to you. So, thank you.’

Ellen’s exit comes after allegations of a toxic workplace environment.

Last year Ellen, 63, apologised to staff after an internal review by Warner Bros found ‘deficiencies related to the show’s day-to-day management’.

The review was launched following reports of a toxic environment on the programme, but the presenter has denied that is the reason she is ending the programme.
