In her video, Amira Bessette (@amira.bessette) listed the “five types of shoes elegant women never wear in autumn.”

For her first suggestion, she revealed that cowboy boots are a major no-go.

She explained: “Cowboy boots do not fall into elegant style, not even a casual elegant daily wear.

“They do not look very feminine or sophisticated and I don’t recommend wearing them if you wish to look elegant.”

As an alternative, Amira recommended investing in a pair of riding boots.

Next, she advised her followers to steer clear of loafers with high heels.

Amira said: “This is such an interesting combination but it’s just too much and you don’t really know what’s going on here.

“The chunky tip, the platform, the block heel, the huge detail, I do not recommend these.”

For her next tip. the etiquette coach addressed her issue with over-the-knee boots.

“They just never look flattering or elegant,” Amira told her followers.

She suggested trying them with a longer skirt or dress as opposed to a mini style.

“There are in fact better ways to wear a mini dress or mini skirt and look elegant at the same time,” she said.

Amira also told her audience to avoid wearing chunky loafers this fall season.

“They just do not look feminine or attractive on women’s feet, I mean we are tiny and these shoes are too chunky, they will look out of balance,” she explained.

For her final tip, the expert addressed a shoe style that she deemed inappropriate for autumn.

“Open-toed sandals are a summer item and they are not appropriate to be worn during autumn time,” she told viewers.

Amira’s followers took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the advice.

“Any clunky frumpy shoe looks mannish, no elegant woman wants to look like a horse,” wrote one viewer.

Another follower TikTok user said: “Over-the-knee boots are one of the most elegant shoes there are and also very practical in the chilly month. It’s all a matter of styling them.”

“Cowboy bling boots in Texas are always elegant,” commented a third person.
