Steven Bartlett: Who is the new Dragons’ Den star?
Steven Bartlett is set to take the nation by storm as he is about to become the youngest judge ever on the hit BBC One show Dragons’ Den.
In January this year, it was announced that Vitabiotics CEO Tej Lalvani had decided to leave Dragons’ Den after four years on the programme.
Steven will take Tej’s place alongside Dragons Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden, Touker Suleyman and Sara Davies.
It is expected that the 28-year-old entrepreneur will share his social media, technological and brand-building experience.

Who is Steven Bartlett?
Steven is the founder and former CEO of The Social Chain, a social media marketing agency he started in his bedroom in Manchester when he was only 22.
He made the agency public at 27, and now Social Chain has a market value of over £300million.
Steven left the company in December of last year to pursue other ventures, including founding Catena Capital, a private equity investment firm.
His first book Happy Sexy Millionaire: Unexpected Truths about Fulfilment, Love and Success was a Sunday Times bestseller and he has also his successful podcast The Diary of a CEO.
Steven will be the youngest person ever to sit in one of the Dragons’ intimidating chairs when he joins for the 19th series, which is due to start filming this summer.
Steven said in a statement that he has ‘been watching Dragons’ Den since I was 12 years old’, and that ‘it was my first window into the real world of business and investing’.
‘It’s a tremendous honour to join the Den, hopefully representing a new generation of entrepreneurs, inspiring young and specifically under-represented entrepreneurs to follow in my footsteps,’ he explained.
What is Steven Bartlett’s net worth?
Steven’s previous company is currently valued at £300million.
When he was just 26 years old, Forbes magazine estimated that the entrepreneur was worth $96million (£68million).
Bartlett is well-known in the entrepreneurial world, being named in Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list and winning prizes including the Black British Business Awards and the Great British Entrepreneur Awards.
Dragons’ Den airs on Thursdays at 8pm on BBC One.
