Laura Whitmore has appeared to confirm her baby daughter’s name after it was leaked earlier in the month, and it has a sweet hidden meaning.

The Love Island presenter, 36, took to Instagram to share some of her favourite Glastonbury memories ahead of this weekend’s live streamed event, but fans were quick to spot what appeared to be her and Iain Stirling’s daughter’s name in the photo.

The photo centred around a tiny denim jacket with the name Stevie Re in letters on the back, with a nod to Laura’s Irish roots in the name.

Ré has a sweet meaning, as it is the lesser used Irish word meaning moon – making th baby’s name Stevie Moon.

Although Laura did not acknowledge the name in the post, she wrote: ‘A few years ago at Glastonbury I bought the handmade ‘time to dance and play’ sign somewhere in the healing fields en route to Shangri La.

‘I ended up wandering around by myself for a few hours, stumbling across different stages and tents. I look at this sign and remind myself of the importance of having fun.

‘Life can get stressful. It can feel overwhelming. But it reminds me of the things that bring me joy in my life. So today, do something that brings you joy! Have a great weekend x.’

It comes after Laura previously called out a publication on social media for leaking the name of the baby she and Iain share before the couple had a chance to reveal it themselves.

Laura tweeted at the time: ‘I’m sure you have better and more pressing things to write about than guessing a child’s name and pressuring someone to talk about it either way! I’ll talk about my child on my terms when I choose.’

The name Stevie is thought to be a nod to musician Stevie Nicks of the band Fleetwood Mac.

Laura and Iain have also chosen not to publish any photos of their daughter on social media in order to protect the baby’s privacy.
