“I’ve Got Nothing but Love for Ramirez” – Josh Taylor Shares a Heartfelt Message for Jose Ramirez

Josh Taylor put on the performance of his life in one of the biggest boxing battles of all time. He overpowered his nemesis, Jose Ramirez, in a full-fledged 12-round boxing classic and claimed a thunderous unanimous decision win. With that, he also became the first-ever Scottish boxer to hold all the belts in the super-lightweight roster.

Taylor, who shared a cosmic beef with Ramirez, offered some words of wisdom to him after they settled their differences in the squared circle.

He said, “I’ve got nothing but love for Ramirez. All this week, this week was no disrespect. It was all just part of the mind games to get inside his head, to make him more eager to jump on me, make him more aggressive, to use his aggression against him. We said that all week, in the buildup. We’re gonna use his aggression against him and that’s what we did.”

The fight began well for ‘Jaguar’. He landed some of the most cracking shots on Taylor. In fact, there were a few moments in the fight wherein many thought Taylor wouldn’t survive until the last bell. Despite that, the Scottish boxing star defied the odds and took the fight until the very end.

He hammered Ramirez to the pulp and even scored two vicious knockdowns in the fight. Those knockdowns sealed the deal for ‘The Tartan Tornado’ and helped him become undisputed.
