The world of showbiz is a very small world indeed, and nothing proves that more than Peter Andre singing at David Schwimmer’s wedding.

Playing Six Degrees of Separation between Katie Price and Brad Pitt gets a whole lot easier with this little bit of trivia.

Ahead of this week’s eagerly anticipated Friends reunion, Peter has reminded us all that David hand-picked him to perform at his and ex-wife Zoe Buckman’s wedding in 2010, in one of the most surprising wedding mash-ups since Martine McCutcheon was chosen as one of Liza Minnelli’s bridesmaids.

Despite his connection to Ross Geller himself Peter has still never seen an episode of Friends.

Writing in his column for new! magazine, Peter, 48, explained: ‘I know everyone is really excited about the Friends reunion, but I’ve actually never watched a single episode! Bizarrely, I did sing at David Schwimmer’s wedding in 2010, though.

‘I got a call saying he wanted to meet me and I thought it was a wind-up. I went to a London hotel to meet him and we started talking and he said to me “I’d love you to sing at our wedding”.

‘And so I did. It was definitely strange seeing Thandiwe Newton and David Walliams in the same room, singing along to a song I never even knew they knew. It was wonderful.’

Peter previously explained that David asked him to perform at his wedding as his wife-to-be, British artist, Zoe was a big fan of his number one hit Mysterious Girl.

Well, it is a party staple.

David, 54, and Zoe, 35, welcomed their daughter Cleo in 2011, but in 2017, the couple announced they were ‘taking some time apart’ and confirmed their divorce later that year.

The actor told The Guardian of their split: ‘Anyone would say the same thing, but of course it’s heartbreaking. You feel somewhat responsible and a sense of failure – and you grieve. I certainly didn’t get married with the idea that it wouldn’t last. I really believed it would.’

However, they remain good friends and are co-parenting their daughter together, while Zoe is now in a relationship with musician Max Milner.

This week, millions of Friends fans will watch as David and his former co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry and Courteney Cox take a walk down memory lane, 17 years after the beloved sitcom ended and 27 years after it begun.

In the unscripted reunion, the cast will do table reads of some of the show’s most memorable scenes – including scenes from The One With The Jellyfish – and discuss their experiences of super-stardom with each other and James Corden.

A host of celebrity fans, including BTS, David Beckham, Lady Gaga and Cara Delevigne, will also be joining the show, while other Friends cast members, including Maggie Wheeler (Janice), Tom Selleck (Richard) and Reese Witherspoon (Jill) will reminisce.

Friends: The Reunion will be shown on Sky One at 8pm on May 27, and will be available on demand on Now and Sky.
