Paddy McGuinness and wife Christine were overjoyed as they shared a selfie from their bed – after sneaking an afternoon nap together.

The Top Gear host couldn’t hide his delight in the snap, as he and the model giggled together under the covers.

The pair – who share three children together – appeared to be topless in the snap, which the presenter captioned: ‘Look at the sheer delight.

‘These are the faces of two parents, who after nigh on eight years, have finally managed to get an afternoon nap in!’

Just to get the point across a little more, he added the hashtags: ‘#homealone #disconap #heaven #sleepwins #cheekyhour #nap #snooze #winning #afternoondelight.’

However, fans weren’t totally convinced about all the sleeping that went down, sliding into the comments section to question the photo.

‘Doesn’t look like you got much napping,’ one replied.

‘A nap hey.. Is that what you’re calling it,’ another penned, as a follower said: ‘Aye aye bet no sleeping going on there.’

An Instagram user added: ‘I personally don’t think you “napped”!’, alongside a string of cry-laughing emoji.

Christine and Paddy will be on our screens together soon to front a new documentary on their lives with children Leo, Penelope and Felicity, who have all been diagnosed with autism.

The BBC programme, titled Autism and our Family, will see the couple share their experiences with viewers.

It will show them learning more about autism by meeting paediatricians and child development experts.

An airdate has not yet been confirmed, but is expected to air on the BBC later this year.
