WWE Superstar The Miz Reportedly Finished A Match Despite ACL Injury at WrestleMania Backlash

Former WWE Champion The Miz is currently recovering from an injury. He last appeared at WrestleMania Backlash a few weeks ago when he and Damian Priest faced off against each other in a ‘zombie’ lumberjack match.

During this bout, Miz suffered from an ACL injury. However, the match, which was a crossover and promotion to Batista’s Army of the Dead movie, went on as usual.

Thanks to his dedication, the backstage crew, and colleagues of the “Hollywood A-Lister“, are lauding him. Fightful Select has the exclusive news on the situation as they spoke to multiple backstage staff.

“When we spoke with talent and staff Tuesday morning, they said that watching the monitors during the match, they could tell something was wrong but didn’t think it was as severe as a torn ACL and credited him for getting through the match.

“As seen on the show, there was a specific finish they were getting to, and Miz was applauded, figuratively, for making sure he got there despite serious injury. This is the first major injury of Miz’s career,” the report concluded.

There is no news on when The Miz will be back in the ring as of now.

The Miz revealed his favorite title

Although he might be injured, the ‘Must-see’ superstar is not sitting idle. He recently spoke to Sports Illustrated about the Soles4Souls charity, and various moments in his WWE career.

When asked about his favorite title, Miz went in another direction than choosing the world titles. “The IC title. Growing up as a kid, I was a huge WWE fan. All my favorites had the Intercontinental title,” he said.

I always grew up loving that title. I remember the first time I won it [in 2012]. It was incredible. I’d worked so hard and I finally won it. Almost 10 years later, I’m one of the more decorated Intercontinental champions. To me, I still find that pretty incredible.”

He also named his favorite IC Champion as well. “The Ultimate Warrior. I was glued to the screen every time he was out there. He changed the color of the belt, he was full of energy and those promos.”

The Miz imitated Warrior when he was little. Currently, Apollo Crews holds the IC Title. Will we see The Miz pursuing it anytime soon? Let us know in the comments below.
