AEW Double or Nothing Results: Jon Moxley Gets Busted Open, Young Bucks Retains Their Tag Team Title

Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston may have one of the most dangerous partnerships in the wrestling business, combing two of the most hardcore experience wrestlers out there. The duo showed it every step of the way against The Young bucks at AEW Double or Nothing.

It may have been Double or Nothing but blood and guts are what it took Moxley to fight the Bucks at Daily’s Place. Knowing that the opponents are far more experienced than him and Kingston at tag team wrestling, the two tried to get the early advantage by assaulting the Bucks before the match started.

However, Matt and Nick Jackson were quickly able to turn the table and combined their classic offensive style to pick Moxley and Kingston apart. Before we knew it, Moxley was busted open and bleeding from the head. This was, of course, the result of foul play as the Bucks used what appeared to be pepper spray on the former AEW Champion.

In many instances, the Young Bucks used dirty tricks to get themselves ahead and it worked. With the AEW Tag team Championship on the line, they did not slip up even once and held Kingston down on one end while delivering the payload to Moxley.

Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston could not counter the Young Bucks

Eddie Kingston and Jon Moxley had an intense match a few months ago where the latter made Kingston tap out after wrapping barbed wire around his face. This was just the conclusion to a bloody spectacle and fas assumed the two would be near indestructible as a team.

However, their experience coupled with overwhelming fan support couldn’t help the two as The Young Bucks picked up the victory in the end. They have proved that they are still undisputed in the AEW Tag Team Division, and Moxley will have to hold his winless run a bit longer.

The presence of a live audience was the highlight of Double or Nothing. Indeed, the fans back in the stands really did hype things up a lot more. At one point the live crowd rallied behind Jon Moxley like he was Hulk Hogan himself.

Unfortunately for them, the favorites lost and Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston were left beleaguered. They will undoubtedly return to get back at the Bucks, but for now, they will have to endure.
