The Traitors winner Harry Clark reveals why he still hasn’t spent his £95,000 prize money-Sabrina Barr-Entertainment – Metro

The Traitors star Harry Clark might have walked away as the champion of the BBC series with a cash prize of £95,000… but he still hasn’t splashed out with his winnings.

On Sunday May 12, Metro.co.uk had the chance to catch up with the savvy gameshow contestant at the Bafta TV Awards, where he was walking the red carpet with fellow contestant former nemesis Paul Gorton.

The pair were in great company at the glitzy event held at London’s Royal Festival Hall, with other attendees including talkshow icon Lorraine Kelly, Succession’s Brian Cox, presenting duo Ant and Dec, Baby Reindeer creator Richard Gadd and all-round legend Hannah Waddingham.

It’s now been almost four months since Harry won The Traitors, when he was able to sneakily swipe the prize pot from under Faithful Mollie Pearce’s nose at the final hurdle.

The now-23-year-old had managed to go largely undetected as a Traitor throughout the game, manipulating and tricking his way all the way to the end with host Claudia Winkleman keeping close watch.

So months later, what has the former army engineer done with his £95,000?

‘The prize money – luckily I’ve got my dad, he’s got his head screwed on – he took it off me straight away to look after it and help me out, so I can move on to get my own house someday,’ Harry told us.

With the exception of some ‘personal debts’ that he had to pay off, Harry added that he hasn’t spent ‘any’ of his prize money.

‘Smart boy,’ Paul complimented his co-star.

Now that’s an incredible show of willpower!

Following the success of the first two series of The Traitors in the UK, it’s been claimed that a celebrity version of the show is on the way.

Harry stressed that he would ‘definitely not’ be up for starring in an all-stars version of the show, adding that if he and Paul were on it, ‘they would just send us home straight away no matter what we say’ because of their past experiences as Traitors.

However, he did have an exception… if every single one of the contestants had previously played as a Traitor in their respective seasons.

We’ve got to say – we love the idea of this twist.

The Traitors presenter Claudia recently revealed that she was initially ‘reluctant’ to return for the second series, because of how popular the first one had been.

This meant that she was ‘extra reluctant’ to do the third series, which will be coming to the BBC in due course.

‘I said let’s stop, because the first series was so overwhelming for us, the fact people liked it and wanted to talk about it,’ she said on Good Morning Britain.

‘And I thought it was just so perfect, let’s just leave it.’
