Contestants Adam and Michael, from the Fortune Hotel, have been found making misogynistic, racist, and transphobic social media content on their accounts.

The new reality game show which has been compared to The Traitors, The Fortune Hotel, has only just begun on ITV and has already amassed a huge following of fans who love the series.

Two of the contestants of the show, a bricklayer and landscaper, known as The Naked Builders on social media, have been found posting offensive content online.

The duo, who are from Bognor Regis, had a large following before entering the competition, using their platforms to create comedy sketches linked to their line of work.

But, some of the videos have been found to be rude and have since been deleted.

In a recent video sketch posted in April, the pair imitated a Chinese doctor and mocked a woman’s looks in an offensive ‘Electricians joke’.

In 2022, other videos were offensive for similar derogatory reasons. One TikTok video showed a drawing of female genitalia in cement and then cut to a video of a goat making a licking motion.

Another post about ‘Tilers’ featured a man using a makeup filter who said an offensive accent: ‘I don’t want to be called David anymore, I want to be called Davina’.

A spokesperson for The Fortune Hotel told MailOnline: ‘All contestants’ social media accounts undergo appropriate checks prior to filming as well as them being issued with guidance on how to operate on social media ahead of being seen on screen.

‘We have spoken to the contestants about this post which was published after filming.’

The Fortune Hotel is a new series set in the Caribbean and hosted by Stephen Mangan. The aim of the show is for teams of pairs to try and lie and deceive their fellow contestants in order to win a quarter of a million pounds.

Ahead of the show, Mike and Adam were asked how they would spend their winnings. The pair, who are both parents, said that they would want to spend it on their children.

Mike said: ‘The first thing I’d do is take my daughter to Disney and spoil her with whatever she wanted. We’d also like to put the money together and buy some property.’

Adam agreed saying: ‘I’d want to go on an amazing family holiday with my girlfriend and my little boy. I’d then want to book another holiday where I could relax, unwind and work out what else to do with the money.’

Metro.co.uk reached out to ITV for comment.

The Fortune Hotel continues on Monday to Thursday next week on ITV.
