A MONEY-SAVVY shopper has revealed they almost overlooked a designer item worth hundreds of dollars at their local thrift store.

They left people jealous as they raved about their budget-friendly fashion purchase.

Posting under the name Maverick00007, they revealed they bought the accessory from the Italian luxury brand for just $2.

They confessed that they initially didn’t recognize the value of the item.

“I actually had a friend who knew luxury goods with me and when I found it he was freaking out,” they said.

“We also found a bootleg Versace t-shirt right before we found it too lol.”

“Just make sure to always check the scarfs!” they added.

An almost identical silk neckerchief from Gianni Versace is currently listed for sale on the pre-loved site Vestiaire Collective for $495.

The black scarf has the brand’s signature gold baroque print and Medusa logos.

Posting under the handle JadedRaccoon, she shared a photo of herself wearing “nearly new” Valentino Rockstud flats.

She paid $80 for the footwear originally priced at $975.

One commenter described the shoes as “gorgeous,” while another said they looked real after examining the studs.
