Woman gets dress coded and sent home from work for too much ‘skin’ but her outfit totally breaks the internet
A WOMAN has left the internet stunned after she revealed she was dress coded at work for her ‘innapropriate’ outfit.
After the alleged incident she took to social media to show off the look, which apparently showed too much ‘skin’ for the workplace.

In the clip, which was shared on TikTok by @christmaskwon, she can be seen showing off the outfit, and people have been left scratching their heads over what could possibly wrong with it.
Donning high-waisted black jeans and a black top with a black cardigan over the top, she slowly spun to show that almost no skin at all was showing in the outfit.
“My boss just told me I’m showing too much skin,’ she write over the clip.
Unsurprisingly, the video quickly went viral and currently has over six million views and thousands of comments from confused watchers.
The worker revealed she works somewhere where there is “literally zero occasions” to show herself to customers.
It turns out she wasn’t the only one who has been pulled up on their work outfits, and many people said their bosses were way too picky about what’s ‘appropriate’ too.
One wrote: I got repeatedly dress coded so I started wearing the same outfits as my manager and still got dress coded by her.”
A second commented: “I asked for it in writing. I had a suit on that was ‘too casual’, it was the quickest ‘never mind’ from my boss ever.
“They won’t put their bullying in writing.”
“I got dress coded at my job that had NO DRESS CODE,” a third chimed in.
Meanwhile, others thought the problem might be due to her tattoos, which were visible due to the scoop neck on her T-shirt.
“He means cover up your tattoos but he doesn’t have the grapes to say it. I’d email HR,” one mused.
A second agreed: “They probably mean your tattoos, which is so stupid because they look great.”
“People still weirdly discriminate against tattoos, take it to the higher ups because he’s in the wrong,” another wrote.
“He meant to say you look incredibly good and it intimidates me,” someone else said.
How to look chic on a budget
Fashion stylist Gemma Rose Breger, and beauty journalist Samantha Silver revealed how you can make your outfits elevated without spending hundreds of pounds.
Don’t ever spend on designer denim: River Island ”always has such a great selection with fashion- forward jeans that follow the current trends”. The high street retailer offers a great range of sizes to fit UK 6 – UK 18, and three leg lengths – and prices start from an affordable £25.
There are no rules for jewels: ”Pick up something at a car boot sale, or charity shop, scroll on Vinted & eBay, snap up something from the clothing section in your local supermarket when doing the food shop or check out high street clothing stores.”
Don’t forget the pre-loved sites: With a rising number of second-hand sites, such as Vinted and Depop, there really is no excuse of not buying – or selling – pre-loved garments. Gemma, for instance, has managed to get her hands on chic Chanel sunnies for a mere £17.
