Rachel Stevens has spoken about the difficulties she experiences in her co-parenting relationship with ex-husband Alex Bourne.
The 46-year-old split from the star of Netflix’s Buying London in 2022, and announced the end of their relationship in a post on Instagram in July after 13 years of marriage.
Although, the end of their romantic union was described as ‘messy’, the childhood sweethearts will remain in each other’s lives, as they share two daughters, Amelie and Minnie.
While appearing on Lorraine, Rachel was honest about how they are dealing with their new setup.
‘It’s a process like with anything, and I love the word navigate because it so is. It’s such a process,’ she shared.
Lorraine added that she is dodging icebergs, to which Rachel enthusiastically agreed before adding: ‘I was doing a podcast yesterday and they said it’s like laser quest, especially with kids. There’s always things coming at you.

‘They are always our priority and our focus, and keeping them safe in it all. It’s not easy, but I feel very lucky that the kids are both of our priority, and we’ve had lots of help and advice in the leadup to our separation.
‘We just manage as best as we can, muddle our way through it, but with them at our forefront,’ she concluded.
Rachel has been able to find love again with her Dancing on Ice professional Brendyn Hatfield.

Recalling telling Alex about her feelings for Brendyn, she admitted: ‘It was really scary, because I knew as soon as I said that that was it.’
She called Brendyn a ‘beautiful human’ and added that she ‘really loves him’ in an interview with The Sun.
Brendyn also reportedly separated from his wife, Jessica, around three years ago.
The S Club 7 singer has been doing a lot of reflecting on her life in autobiography Finding My Voice, which she also discussed on the ITV daytime show.
She shared that during the start of the band’s life, she became the quiet one and felt ‘uncomfortable’ during interviews. However, now as the title suggests, she’s embracing being more confident.

Lorraine airs weekdays from 9am on ITV and ITVX.
Buying London is streaming on Netflix.
