David Beckham has landed a huge honor by getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, alongside some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry.

The former England footballer is among the stars who will be immortalized in LA next year, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has announced.

Shortly after his iconic Netflix documentary hit our screens, the 49-year-old will be commemorated in the sports entertainment category, beside MLB pitcher Orel Hershiser.

Other 2025 inductees include late music legend Prince, Green Day rockers Billie Joe Armstrong, Tre Cool and Mike Dirnt, Jane Fonda and Busta Rhymes.

The Traitors host Alan Cumming has also been selected, with Jessica Chastain, Colin Farrell, Emilio Estavez and 101-year-old stunt woman Toni Vaz.

John Carpenter, Bill Duke, Robert Englund, Nia Long, Lisa Liu and Glynn Turman make up the rest of the film actors landing stars.

Fantasia has landed the accolade for music, with Depeche Mode, Los Bukis, The B-52s, The Isley Brothers, George Strait, Keith Urban and WAR.

They now have two years to book an induction ceremony before the invitation expires, or the application process will begin again.

Eugene Levy, Courteney Cox, Macaulay Culkin and the Jonas Brothers have recently been commemorated on the famous pavement, while Tupac and Ray Liotta were given posthumous tributes.

There are six categories for recipients – motion pictures, TV, radio, recording, live theater or performance and sports entertainment.

Anyone can nominate a recipient for a star, with the agreement of their management teams, but there is strict criteria that a celebrity must follow in terms of their career, before landing the honor.

They must have a career in the category of five years or more, as well as ‘contributions to the community’ and a guarantee that they will attend the ceremony .

Posthumous awards will require a two-year ‘waiting period’ after their death.

The Hollywood Chamber’s Board of Directors has to vote to approve the star, with the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and the City of Los Angeles’ Board of Public Works Department also having a say.
