BBC star Greg James was nearly knocked off his bike after a van reversed towards him during a ride in London.
The BBC Radio 1 DJ was out cycling with Jeremy Vine recently when he had the close call.
In a moment captured on camera, the 38-year-old presenter was forced to frantically start hitting the vehicle as it threatened to hit him.
The clip shows Greg, 38, riding on the streets of London with Jeremy, 59, with the pair chatting before seeing a van knock over a Lime bike and leave it on the road.
As they turn down a quiet street that the van is driving down too, the pair slow down.
The van, which is then on an angle in the middle of the street, starts to reverse while Greg is stationary right behind it.

The men start yelling out, but the driver doesn’t appear to notice, with Greg then forced to bang on the van to get his attention and make him stop.
Jeremy is then heard confronting the driver, saying: ‘Oh God, for f*** sack. What the hell man, It’s the guy from Radio 1. You can’t back into Greg James.’
The driver offers a quick apology as the men continue their ride; however, Jeremy was not impressed.
‘You did nothing wrong there, but you will be blamed for that,’ he said.
‘When that happened to me, someone backed into me, I was told I was hovering near the back of the van.’

The pair later go past the van again, this time at a set of traffic lights.
‘He’s moderately panicking,’ Jeremy said of the driver, before spotting another van ‘going the wrong way down the street’ towards them.
‘I never get this many incidents,’ he commented.
The 93-second clip, which has been viewed over 380,000 times, sparked a mixed response.
‘Jeremy, I’ve come to the conclusion that bad driving follows you about. In all my years cycling I’ve never had as many near collisions as you have on a weekly basis. It’s outrageous,’ Marc Richards commented on X.

‘It shouldn’t be a daily struggle to stay alive,’ Howard Hughes wrote.
However, others like user Mike Fulham blamed Greg for ‘stopping in the van’s blind spot’.
Meanwhile Ron Kane said the near-miss was a result of the pair’s ‘bad decision making’ rather than the fault of the driver.
‘You’ve seen him run over the fallen bike; you then see him stop at the next turn. And you both get behind him, you then slow up Greg James in getting clear while the van obviously struggling with the turns starts to reverse,’ he added.

A keen cyclist, Jeremy regularly posts videos of his rides around London, including his run-in’s with drivers.
Last year he was knocked off his bike by a van, footage captured by the camera on his helmet.
As the van ran over his bike, Jeremy banged on the back to alert the driver and was heard shouting ‘s**t’ as the events unfolded.
Luckily, he was unharmed, with the presenter then given help by the driver, who assisted him in carrying his bike onto the pavement.
