Streaming life is hard, says Lacy (Twitch/Twitter)

Lacy has faced the wrath of the internet after claiming streaming full-time is harder than ‘working a normal job’ because he has to shop while jetlagged.

The path to becoming a full-time streamer can be a long and exhausting process, but every now and then, some Twitch stars like to claim it’s the most difficult job in the world.

This happened earlier this year, with streamer HasanAbi, who said a real job ‘doesn’t suck the soul out of you in the same way that nine hours of streaming absolutely will’.

Twitch star Lacy, who recently joined FaZe Clan, has become the latest streamer to throw this ill-advised discourse back into the limelight.

When some viewers called him out for complaining about his job, after travelling to Japan, Lacy took issue with the comments because he has to walk around sunny Japan… with jetlag.

‘I genuinely think that streaming is harder than an actual job,’ Lacy said. ‘Go ahead and laugh. Tell me it’s not harder to have to fly 17 hours all the way out to Japan, have jetlag, be tired, then when you get here, you have to walk around in the hot sun… and then you have to stream yourself shopping for clothes and going shopping for 6-8 hours a day.’

He added: ‘That’s genuinely hard compared to working a normal job where you just go in for six hours every day, because normal jobs work what, 30 hours a week?’

‘Like, you guys have to understand it’s way harder to stream. And I have to go around and mog everybody, walk around in public, talking to people, trying to interact. It’s hard to have those social skills.’

As you might expect, his comments haven’t exactly gone down well. ‘He doesn’t even know what full time hours are,’ one user replied. ‘Bro said 30 hours a week.’

‘Kid needs a reality check,’ another added.

In response to the comments, which also accused him of ‘rage bait’, Lacy replied: ‘yall are so quick to come at me but don’t understand it from my point of view because you aren’t in this position having to shop all day and socialise in the hot sun being jetlagged… stick to your 9 to 5s lol.’

Lacy, 21, signed up with FaZe Clan as a Fortnite streamer in May this year and has over 788,000 followers on Twitch.
