The Olympic Games Closing Ceremony is upon us with three huge names celebrating the handoff from Paris to Los Angeles.

On Sunday, the trio of mega stars will be gracing the stage from LA in what will reportedly be a ‘mix of pre-taped and live performances’ a couple of weeks after Celine Dion wowed viewers in the opening ceremony.

As reported by Variety, the glitzy event is being produced by Ben Winston, whose work has been seen at the Grammy Awards and Adele’s 2021 One Night Only special.

He is coordinating with French producers for the ceremony.

Security is on high alert after Taylor Swift cancelled three concerts in Vienna following a foiled terror attack plot.

With these heightened fears in mind, the location of Sunday’s performance is being kept under wraps.

For the closing ceremony, Variety reports that Billie Eilish, Snoop Dogg and the Red Hot Chili Peppers are all set to be featured.

The Drop It Like It’s Hot hip hop legend has been a viral sensational during the Paris Games thanks to his role as an on-air personality for NBC, and he even carried the Olympic Torch.

As per the outlet, the musical performances will come after a stunt from Top Gun star Tom Cruise, who is set to jump from his motorbike, which will throw to a pre-recorded video of him parachuting next to the Hollywood sign.

From there, the LA trio will take over with their musical performers.

As the Closing Ceremony ends, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass will accept the Torch and bring it back to LA as she makes her way back from Paris.

Who performed at the opening ceremony?

The opening ceremony was a huge event, with Canadian singer Celine Dion performing French singer Edith Piaf’s L’Hymne A L’Amour at the Eiffel Tower.

Lady Gaga was the first singer to perform at the event, and she surprised viewers by singing in French as she delivered a burlesque take on the French classic Mon Truc En Plume.

The 38-year-old pop star emerged from a plume of pink feathers as she sang alongside a group of dancers while wearing a black bodice with a detachable black and pink ruffled skirt.

The Poker Face singer performed next to the River Seine, near the Notre Dame cathedral, during what is the first-ever opening ceremony to be staged outside a stadium.

Following a sequence paying homage to the historical epic, French heavy metal band Gojira performed at the Conciergerie, a former courthouse and prison in the city.

Among the other performers was French-Malian singer Aya Nakamura, who sang while dressed in a golden dress paired with gladiator boots and gold jewellery.
