Katie Price has reportedly told friends how she’s not scared of the prospect of prison – eyeing up a jail term as her next big ‘career move.’

The former glamour model turned author, musician and personality was arrested at Heathrow Airport this week after skipping out on a court hearing to grab a fecelift in Turkey instead.

When she returned, the 46-year-old was arrested at Heathrow and driven off in the back of a police van.

Her trip to Turkey came as she was supposed to be attending a scheduled bankruptcy court hearing following a series of recent financial disasters.

Katie was first declared bankrupt in 2019 and again in March this year. After being warned that she could face jail time in the event of a no-show, she was scheduled to provide evidence of her financial situation at a bankruptcy court on Tuesday, July 30.

However, Katie is said to be viewing any potential jail time as an opportunity to grow her empire, providing inspiration for a new book and documentary series.

Speaking to The Sun, a source said: ‘Katie is full of bravado and was bragging that jail would be lucrative for her career.

‘She said she would want to give her side of the story and talk about the reality of being infamous behind bars.

‘Katie says she thinks her life is like a soap opera and that a stint behind bars is just another storyline in the saga.’

The tabloid’s source continued: ‘She seems to see it more as a career move than a punishment.

‘In her eyes it will give her material for a book and a documentary series inside women’s prisons.’

She was later said to have been bailed by an out-of-hours magistrate on Thursday evening, following her arrest. During a hearing on Friday, she was told by the judge that she must attend a ‘public examination’ on August 27.

The judge insisted: ‘You have to attend that date, no ifs or buts, no going abroad, no holidays.’

Speaking to The Sunday Times in 2022, Katie revealed that she had no fear of prison, admitting: ‘If I do [go to prison], I’ll write a chapter for my next book and it will earn me money.’

The former glamour model previously avoided a stint in jail after flipping her BMW X5 in 2021. while under the influence of alcohol and cocaine.

The star recieved a 16-week suspended sentence from the court. During an interview with Nigel Farage on GB News, she reflected on the incident, saying: ‘There’s no excuse. I’m just thankful I didn’t hurt anyone.’

She went on to say: ‘I did hit rock bottom. I’ve tried to kill myself. I could not have got any more bottom than I did.

‘But I’ve come up and am sorting myself out. There’s more to come from me, and I plan to be bigger and better.’
