Celine Dion’s people have called out Donald Trump for the ‘unauthorized usage’ of one of her most iconic songs.

The Canadian icon’s representatives have spoken out against Donald Trump for using one of her songs and likeness at a campaign rally.

A statement from the singer’s social media platforms confirmed that she in no way endorsed the campaign or agreed for her likeness to be used.

‘Today, Celine Dion’s management team and her record label, Sony Music Entertainment Canada Inc., became aware of the unauthorized usage of the video, recording, musical performance, and likeness of Celine Dion singing “My Heart Will Go On” at a Donald Trump / JD Vance campaign rally in Montana.

‘In no way is this use authorized, and Celine Dion does not endorse this or any similar use.’

In a concluding comment, the statement added a hilarious line mocking the song choice from the former President.

‘…And really, THAT song?’ the statement concluded.

Fans loved this ‘shade’ from the 56-year-old singer, who previously declined to play at Trum’s previous inauguration, and took to the comment section of her Instagram post to praise the star.

‘“And really… that song?” Hahahaha The shade! 😂’ commented justinyuo.

‘The Queen has spoken. Finish him!’ joked tavoalama.

‘Take him down, Celine! You go girl!’ added mouseketeer_28.

Another fan, dapstar, made a joke about the song being used in the film Titanic and said: ‘I actually think it was the perfect song to play for that sinking ship.’

This isn’t the first time that Trump’s campaign has been caught out using music without permission. It has been reported that Rihanna, The Rolling Stones, and the estates of Prince and Sinead O’Connor have disavowed Trump’s use of their music.

Celine delighted fans recently when she performed at the opening ceremony for the Paris Olympics 2024.

This was the legend’s first live performance since she announced her diagnosis with the neurological condition stiff-person syndrome (SPS) almost two years ago.

Following her comeback performance she said in a statement:  ‘I’m honoured to have performed tonight, for the Paris 2024 Opening Ceremony, and so full of joy to be back in one of my very favourite cities!’
