The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco announces engagement to Ozark actor Tom Pelphrey-Rishma Dosani-Entertainment – Metro

Kaley Cuoco is set to walk down the aisle once again after confirming her engagement to Tom Pelphrey.

The Big Bang Theory actress 38, was first linked to the Ozark actor, 42, in 2022 – the pair went on to welcome their first child together last year.

Taking to her Instagram story, the mom-of-one announced that the lovebirds are officially preparing to tie the knot.

In a beautiful snap, she could be seen showing off her whopper of an engagement ring while embracing her husband-to-be, with a huge grin on her face.

She simply captioned the post: ‘Amazing weekend.’

The pair also shared glimpses at a professional engagement photoshoot, with their daughter, Matilda, alto getting in on the action.

Kaley went public with her romance with Tom in May, 2022, shortly after her divorce from second husband Karl Cook was finalized – they made their red carpet debut at the Emmys a few months later.

Spilling the beans on how they first met, she told USA Today that they actually met at the Ozark premiere, in a very ‘Hollywood’ moment.

‘We have the same manager, and we were set up by [her] which is so Hollywood,’ she said. ‘She’s like, “Oh my god, I think you guys are perfect for each other.”

‘We met at the Ozark premiere, and I was standing with Andrea [Pett-Joseph] and Tom walked in, and I heard his voice, and I turned around, and it was like my life was over or just starting. It hit me.

‘It was love at first sight. We were immediately connected. I do feel like I’ve known him my whole life but I wasn’t ready for him. We’re ready to build a life together.’

In October, 2022, they took their romance to the next level by revealing that they were starting a family together, and the Flight Attendant star gave birth to baby Matilda last year.

‘Introducing, Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphrey, the new light of our lives,’ she wrote on Instagram beside the first pictures of the little one.

‘We are overjoyed and grateful for this little miracle. Thank you to the doctors , nurses , family and friends who have helped us immensely over the last few days. We are blessed beyond belief.

‘@tommypelphrey didn’t think I could fall even more in love with you , but I did.’

However, the engagement may come as a surprise to many as Kaley vowed that she didn’t want to get married again – after splitting from professional tennis player Ryan Sweeting in 2015, less than two years after their nuptials.

She went on to marry equestrian Karl in 2018, following a two-year romance, but it wasn’t to last and they went their separate ways in 2021.

In a candid interview after their split, she told Glamour magazine in 2022: ‘I will never get married again. I would love to have a long-lasting relationship or a partnership. But I will never get married again. Absolutely not.

‘I believe in love because I’ve had incredible relationships. I know that they’re out there. I like being someone’s partner and having that companionship.

‘So I do believe there is someone out there. I love love. I’m not someone that wants to be by myself. I just need to figure out my priorities a little bit and make sure now I know that I need to water that relationship.

‘It’s like a plant. Sometimes I get too focused on the garden instead of the specific plant that needs to be watered. And I am well aware of that. I want to change, I want to be better.’

Although she wasn’t sold on the idea of being a bride again at the time, she also shared her hopes of wanting to get into a ‘deeper’ relationship in the future.

‘I want a relationship. I want a deeper relationship so that [I’m not afraid to] take a week off here and there,’ she added. ‘I want to take a breath between jobs, which I haven’t done since the beginning of Big Bang. I’ve not even taken a vacation. I don’t want to.’

According to Us Weekly, Tom had a long romance with fellow star Jaimie Alexander, with the pair dating for three years until 2021.
