Love Island star Theo Campbell has revealed he travels more than two hours each week to see his baby boy who lives in Wales.

The reality star welcomed his first child, son Aries, in February with Sapphire Yhnell.

Theo, 29, managed to keep the news that he was set to become a dad secret and only announced Aries’ arrival once he was born.

He is not in a relationship with Aries’ mother Sapphire and now lives in London, meaning he has to travel to Wales every week.

Speaking on Fubar Radio’s Access All Areas, Theo said: ‘My baby, he lives in Wales and I live in London. So on Sundays I have to travel 130 miles, about two hours.

‘I don’t have a life! I’m always getting invited places. My life now, like today, there’s always something on the cusp. I’m there [his tattoo shop] all the time, I do Wednesday to Sunday.’

Theo admitted that he was shocked to learn he was having a baby as he’d always planned to wait until he was in his 30s.

‘Do you know what? I wasn’t expecting it at first,’ he admitted. ‘I’ve always said, I was going to wait until I was 35, 36 and then just knock out three in a row. But it’s not as scary as I thought. I thought it was the hardest thing in the world, the scariest thing, the biggest thing. It is the biggest thing, but it’s not that hard. It’s not that scary, you know?’

Theo, who rose to fame in series three of ITV2’s Love Island, explained that he wanted to keep Sapphire’s pregnancy under wraps as being a celebrity now means his life is public.

‘Because we went in to see what the sex was, and we were like, “it’s been this long now, might as well keep it a little secret”. Because I feel like I don’t get to keep any secrets in my life.

‘You know, everything I’ve ever done, well not ever done, but most things I do and stuff people know about it and that. So when it comes to big stuff,’ he said.

Theo dated fellow Love Island star Kaz Crossley for more than a year before splitting in February 2020. He’s now set to appear in the next series of MTV’s Ex On The Beach.
