Matthew Perry has been remembered by emotional Friends fans on what would have been his 55th birthday.
The actor, who played Chandler Bing in the beloved sitcom, died on October 28 at the age of 54.
A police investigation into his death is ongoing and it emerged last week that five people – including his personal assistant and two doctors – had been charged so far.
After Friends bosses urged the public to remember him as someone who ‘was hilariously funny and brought joy to everybody’, the Instagram account of the series publicly honored his birthday today.
‘On this day, we remember the light that was Matthew Perry,’ a message on the official Friends page read.

Perry, who had been open about his struggles with drug addiction, was found dead at his home last October – an autopsy later revealed that he had been killed by ‘acute effects of ketamine’.
An investigation into what led to his death is still underway, with the identities of the five people arrested revealed last week.
Speaking at a press briefing, United States Attorney Martin Estrada said officials had uncovered a ‘broad underground criminal network responsible for distributing large quantity of ketamine to Perry and others’.

It is alleged that the network ‘took advantage’ of his addiction issues and ‘knew what they were doing was wrong’.
Five defendants were charged including Kenneth Iwamasa, who worked as his live-in personal assistant, and pleaded guilty to one charge relating to his death.
Doctor Salvador Plasencia and doctor Jasveen Sangha – dubbed the ketamine queen – also allegedly worked with others to distribute ketamine to him over a period of two months before his death.
Iwamasa, Eric Fleming and doctor Mark Chavez have all been charged separately.

It was alleged that law enforcement officials allegedly found ‘what amounted to a drug selling emporium’ at Perry’s home, including 80 vials of ketamine, as well as cocaine and pills.
TMZ reports that multiple agencies executed search warrants to determine who supplied the 17 Again star with the ketamine, and they seized phones, computers and other electronic equipment during this time.
Text messages were also reportedly uncovered, allegedly discussing the ketamine that he wanted, how they were getting it, and the price he was paying.
